It has the appearance of a wooden xylophone or some type of noise maker from the 1950's. Do the round items fit into the red stick to make a striking hammer?. Breezie

NO they do not...It is not a xylophone,More of a "building" toy...Thanks for input !!!

Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

Those are from a game called “Hats Off” copyrighted by the Transogram/Gold Medal Company in 1944. The round items with the protruding pegs are the hats that the players needed to dislodge by bowling the clowns head over heels. I wonder what that generation of kids would have made of today’s Xboxes?
