nobodys out today?

Inside. . . maybe I'll polish up the silver I found this summer. . . (that should take about two minutes)

lol, thats twice as long as it'll take me :D

Hey Bomber,
Why don't you put your wet suit on & hit the forest preserves? :tard: :tongue3:

You'd need it today. That river is incredibly high. The water is starting to encroach the N/B lanes of River Rd. by Thacker, creeping under the cement barriers they built. Des Plaines has their sandbag stations set up.

Too bad it's not like the ocean where all the water brings in more treasure! :(

thought about it kd,but i'm starting to get water in the basement so the fp's have to wait, heard they closed inving park around manhiem.but can ya see the police call?man in rubber suit seen in the woods,ah,just another day in the world of mushroom picking

Lightweight yourself, just got back from the park while out clad-handing myself with the hybrid. But yeah, gonna get some catfish and stock the basement later this evening. Had 2' on each side of the house until it made it's way under. Lake Lowbatts is rising!

Mikey, we gonna play tomorrow? Looks like rain all day but I'm game for mud, just gonna stay out of the water. The Lowbattleaxe brought another 'puter home from work for me to fix, said she needs it Monday if you decide to stay inside.

had to take a drive to check it out,all the litte ponds around me are flooded, streets are closed

Yeah, brings out the salamanders. Hmm... Amphibians. Yummm.

slow roasted,w/gauc and tortillas and a fresh salsa

Today sucked. I spent most of the earlier portion of the day moving loads of water out of the basement, as the water kept seeping in. And just when I thought the rain was done...it'd start up again, and again, and again. I haven't spent this much time in my place since I had surgery a year and a half ago and was bedridden. How depressing.

I'm hoping for a little dry spell tomorrow, but it's not looking all that great. The good news is that all of this rain is moistening the ground nicely...should make deeper targets easier to get at.

hang in there bud, more rain on sunday

Man I live on River Road and Irving Park Road, River Road is totally flooded. Also my apartment is in the first building along river, oh yea its a garden apt too (half above ground & half underground). BUT MY PLACE IS BONE DRY!!!!

Watched the bears win the super bowl in the first apt building south of irving next to river rd.Had friends that lived on the top floor apt.
If this rain keeps going it might be as bad as the 1987 flood when we had 9 1/2 inches of rain.

Hell guys, this is just a little rain. I got out today for a little while with GOIO and found a 1903 V nickel (sorry no pic). If I would have been back in Texas I would have been on Galveston's east beach in the hurricane hunting. NOT!!! TMAN...

Nice score w/ the V.

The flowers love this weather. But don't worry, it will quit raining soon enough and start snowing, then you'll see these in the river....
