If anyone can tell me what it is that would be great. It looks like it was broken off of something larger.

Is that two sides of the same piece? Look like 3D characters faces seen on a deck of cards. Bigger than a breadbox?

Same piece. It's 2" tall 1 and a half inch wide.

It's one piece made of copper not wood.
Been doing some digging and definitely not "Immortals" but you might be sitting on some money and they are keepers for sure. Found this for you below. Yours being copper makes it even more valuable and rare also its possible your two go together back-to-back like the wooden ones below (scroll through the pics to see).

It is a Japanese Inro box mask IMO... IF... repeat IF... the size is roughly one inch.
AND... IF it is roughly one inch in size...
I would have to see the back of it to be sure.

PS....

When posting in "What Is It?", please give members the information they need to help identify your find:

1. Post MULTIPLE sharp closeup photos of both the front and the back and sides.
2. State the actual size of the item. Also, if possible, put something with it in the photo for scale: a common U.S. coin, a ruler, etc.
3. If there are any inscriptions which cannot be easily read in the photos, type them in full in your post.
4. If there are maker's marks, numbers, symbols, or other marks on the back which are not easily seen in the photo, post a close-up or a drawing of them.
5. Indicate the composition of the item. For example: "thin brass, filled with lead on the back."
6. Knowing where you found the item or how you got it can also be helpful in identifying the find.

• Once your item has been identified, don't forget to mark it "Solved."
• Finally, if someone identifies your item or provides other helpful information, take time to post your appreciation.

Thanks for the info. I am not sure how to mark it solved. New to site. I have never posted anything before joining. Not to good with computers.

Are there any holes in it ?

through the sides ?
The only hole is at the bottom. Front and back are connected. Looks like it was broken off. Possibly had a base to it.

Size ?

I know this is going to sound crazy but are you sure it doesn't come apart (opens) kind of like a locket or something? Those holes at the bottom might be some kind of strange key holes... What if there's a gold nugget or some diamonds in that there thing :laughing7:

Does not open no hinge. Hollow on inside.
