Metal Detecting
I have a small park in walking distance that is my trusty stand by place to hunt.I know I've visited it at least 20 times just this year. Last month I spotted three guys out there detecting...their holes were still there today...with their junk finds scattered around...how hard is it to cover your holes and pick up your junk? Between covering their holes and picking up their junk...I managed to pull a slick 1883 injun out of the ground!

Thanks for viewing and HH !

Good find and thank you for helping to preserve the hobby for the rest of us all.

I am just gonna echo the posts already here and say "Thanks for cleaning up after the wannabe's and thanks for sharing that nice find".

Nice finds. Its good there are people like you That respect the property and clean up behind these jerks. That could ruin it for everybody.

You deserved that IH! Good job cleaning up! Happy hunting!

Yeah the other day I found some nice finds at a new spot, 20 mins later some guy pulls up and ask me if it was ok to metal detect where I was. I had info that it was ok and knew it was public property. He then asked if I found anything good, and I told him no. He then showed me his Whites 1200.00 machine. I asked him how long he had been detecting and he said a couple years. I had to leave to pick up my son and went back after. I started where I had left(and the guy seen where I had stopped) and started finding empty holes and holes with trash in it. All I could think of was Wild Bills video where he cusses the guy who left a bunches of holes, saying he was going to give him a beating when he caught him. I laughed, but really I would like to give him a beating, I think he snaked me(empty holes) and he left a mess. I didn't want to say anything for fear of giving up my new hot spot. I haven't run into him yet, but I will, I'm sure and he will get a ear full. Just amazes me how people like him can't realize how fast they can screw it up for themselves and everyone else!!!
