Didn't know to chance going out this aft. due to to back pain. Thought sod it and went out with the intention of searching a local wood. Had not driven a mile when doubts started to surface, did I really want to become an AL fresco meal for the insects in the wood. And more to the point would my aching back stand up to digging signals through tree roots. Very quickly changed my mind and ended up 30 mins later at a pasture field. Last year this field was ploughed so there was a decent chance of at least a few finds. Here's a few pictures of the finds, the best two were a Charles 1 farthing 1675 and a small weight probably Georgian. The farthing is struck well of centre, not seen this before on this age of coin, must have been made on a Monday morning. The weight shows obvious file marks and may have started life as a square weight. Enjoy the pics.

Regards Robert.

Actually... it's a Charles II Farthing.

There had been cows on the field , got more than mud on them. As anyone noticed cow pats give a slightly positive signal. What do they feed them on ?.

Having just come off a Cow field. The wet ones give a good signal. Dry ones no signal. :icon_scratch:
