Hey Guys,
Well today I pulled the trigger on an XP Deus with the 11" Coil.
Also ordered the WP kit as I'm on the beach/shallow water quite a lot.

AT first, I was hesitant about buying the Deus because of all the litigation problems with ML but as usual, my desire outweighed
those problems and I went ahead and ordered.

So, from time to time, I will be asking questions from you guys and hope you'll have the time to answer.
Best of luck out there!
Rusty

find a program that best fits your style of hunting. Once you and the Deus "click" you will be very happy !! Congrats

Like, congratulations. You won't regret it. And do you really think anybody is going to come take our machines? Think again.

You picked a great machine

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'm looking forward to taking the Deus for a spin.

Congrats! Some suggestions, buy Andys book, Read this site: https://www.detecting.us/referencelibrary/xp-relic-2/ , Forget the numbers and learn the tones, once you understand what the tones tell you, you will clean up like a mad man...Oh and the "Click" mentioned above will happen, do not worry or rush it, it takes time swinging and diggin......

Ask all the question you have, these guys are great at helping and sharing! No dumb questions exist so ask away.....

Have fun, fill your holes.....

Your Excalibur (or even your Sovereign) will be a better water machine, but, on land, the Deus should do you just fine.

I know. I love my Excal and Sov at the beach and prefer the Sovereign GT for its depth and clarity on targets but needed/wanted a change. Sometimes that endless expanse of the beaches gets a little desert-like and thought I'd go green. Meaning I'd like to do some parks and fields.

Thanks Jim for the link, very much appreciated!
I picked up a copy of Andy's book prior to buying the Deus so that my wife could see I was doing my research first. Lol!
Now I just need to tell her I bought one.:tongue3:

Congrats I can't imagine detecting without mine anymore.

Thank you Kodiak. I'm really looking forward to getting out with the Deus!

Congrats on the purchase it's a wonderful detector

Thank you CoilToTheSoil! I'm at my desk reading Andy's Book right now before the Deus arrives. Looks like I have some study time before I take it out.

Don't forget all the instructional videos. There right at the top of the Deus forums page.
