Any ideas what this is? It's 2cm diameter.

It appears to be written in the Cyrillic alphabet

Well, I showed the post to my Russian colleague and he was a great help.
He said I should speak to my other colleague (and good friend) from Iran.
I do enjoy our multi-cultural society
He has identified the script as Farsi (Persian) and mainly numerals;

Referring to the first pic:
Top line is one then zero -so maybe 10 - then letter 'H'
2nd line is the numerals 2 2 4 0 8
Bottom line - is simply decoration.

Just thinking about the 2nd line - looks like a date 22/4/08 (as nearly everyone except the USA would write a date )

I suggest the item is a 'Best Before' Tag for a perishable product.

Camel Tag? Seriously it looks like a lid or tag that was nailed to the wall after it was removed from the bottle or whatever. Doesn't look like the hole was stock to me. I will say the size is small for the detail involved, maybe part of a seal of something where you had to drill the cap to open the container.
