Looks like a Railroad spike with crud all over it!!!!!!

My initial thought was a piece of a tie rod, but looking through the crud I am liking the spike idea. Bust that crud off and show us another pic!

Having knocked down a couple of spikes over years past, not a spike. Soak that thing in apple cider vinegar for a few days, that should remove a lot of the rust, then you might get a better look at what ever it "was".

It looks like it curves & where it curves the bottom is bigger than the top
