Found this at my "New Cellar" post on today's find.It's probably 4" in dia.,who know's how long.It had a handle of some kind on it.Just trying to find out what it is,The only thing I can make out is "nassau".Look's pretty old,need a date so I can figure this site out.Thank's for lookin'..HH!!

I could be part of a stoneware bottle like this one .I think mine held wine or some type of liquor . I 'm guessing mid to late 1800's .Nice find !

Remember when digging and collecting pottery shards to keep them all...many museum peices today of rare pottery are glued together...and still can bring a hefty price to the collector.....if you have broken pottery in that cellar ,chances are all the pieces will be there....... :)
