This was about 8" down in a school lawn that has produced 1880's goodies in the recent past. It is about 1 5/8" tall and once had gold plating on it, there is a tiny bit left on the bottom edges. The flat bottom appears to have had something else soldered to it at one time. It is possibly a jewelry item, pocket watch fob, or what is left of a wax seal? Thanks for any help you can provide. Happy Hunting to all. Sub 8-)
