It reminds me of the brass slide that my grandfather put on his belt. He then attached a clip to in to clip his car keys on. I will see if I can find a pic of what I am talking about.

Could be any of the above but we find a similar one that was a slack tightner for a two piece buckle.They had a small peice of wire attached that would go through the belt.I will post a pic of the type I am talking about tonight.
