The dates look like they are part of a column with more dates below. The next one down looks like 192?. To the left of the dates is a column with what looks like names?

Actually I think the next one down is 1910 and so on.

Someone in another post said they thought it said Motor at the top and I think I see car near the top right side. I'm very intrigued by this.

I was just about to post the same. Those are the two words that I can make out. Also 4 dates down from 1909 is 1913 so they are in order which makes me wonder if they are dates at all. There are other letters that I can make out. Is there any chance for a slightly better pic or a couple more of them? These ones drive me crazy until I know.

Took some more. They are definitely dates as well because I can see the word April 2nd on the bottom date on the left and I think I see the word motor again on the bottom right.

Looking with a look months before dates on the right read AUG OCT NOV APRIL with days of the months then a comma before the year. Still can't make out much else.

Don't think that bottom right says motor. I can make out "TCE" in the word. And that looks like "CAN" upper right.

Thanks for taking the time to look and for the input. This is driving me nuts. really wish someone could figure it out.

It looks like a military vehicle identification plate, it has one hole left on it from where is riveted to what ever it came off of.

Interesting AU but what military vehicle was even around in 1908?

i turned the magnifer on my laptop and at the top right had the word motor i thinking it may be a very old motor vehicle regestration or a patent plate for a motor

Au is on the right track. I think it's a Ford Motor Co. Body tag. Within the dates on the Plate.

i see ford motor too at the top

That would be awesome if it was a plate off a old ford. Find it kinda cool I drove it home in my 2003 ford as well. Crazy.
