No CW relics today but I did find coins

I went back to a small Civil War site this morning that my son and I last hunted in mid February hoping to find another piece of lead or two. No lead or anything from the Civil War for that matter, but before I left I went over an area were I had found a Mercury Dime the last time and these are what turned up: An 1868 Shield Nickel and an 1882 V Nickel. This is the first Shield Nickel I've ever found and the first V Nickel I've found in at least two years. Thanks for looking!

Great hunt W.C.!! The coins are in pretty good shape. I dug an 1896 "V" the other day while scouting for CW relics and you could barely read the date. WTG, Quindy.
