No Clue What I'm Looking At....

Okay, so despite the mounds and mounds of useless information splashing around inside my brain, there is almost none pertaining to Native American artifacts. But, I've always picked up interesting looking rocks, moreso since I moved to Clovis, NM. Around my property, 5 acres just outside of town that hadn't been built on before I bought it, I like to kick around the native rocks and a few truckloads of river rock that is spread around the site.

I ran across these three stones just walking and looking. They might be something, or just intersting looking rocks, I honestly have no clue. I do know they don't look nearly as nice as what you guys have posted, but I thought maybe someone might have some idea?

Be brutally honest, I have no conceptions that these are anything more than rocks that have chipped to the point I'm seeing something there that's not, I'm just curious. And if the pictures suck, just say so, I'll try to get better ones. ;D The Blackwater Draw site sits about 15 miles to the south of my home, if anyone's curious.

Thanks for looking!

-Addison

Sim!! i would like to see new photos of the piece in the third and fourth photos, please use soft background such as single color towel. outside light i think is better with micro setting and no sun or flash to cause glare as do hard surface counter tops. Terry

When we get a little daylight tomorrow I'll do just that. Sorry, new to photographing stones. Thanks Terry!

I'm not sure about the rest but that last piece look's like it could be a blade or knife.

Re: No Clue What I'm Looking At....

Last piece shown sure looks like a graver. The sharp point looks intentionally put there.

Hopefully the altered photos will help. I have to dig my digi-cam out of storage. Also had one more item to throw out there. Just a little piece, but it's interesting looking. Anything, or more driveway material?

Joel

Is a graver just what it sounds like, an engraving tool?
