Found this a couple months back, I was looking at it yesterday night and noticed writing. Any ideas what it is, how old it is, and who the company is?

It says "Made in USA" on top, and may say "Velvet" on the bottom but I'm not sure.

Early 1900's? I see a reference to H.W. Velvet Grip suspenders in a September 1, 1918 trade publication (regarding India Rubber!).

I was just able to find a photo of it in an ad from Circa-1900.
