I was on my own today & decided to try one of our best fields for the last 2 years running, problem was I was going over old ground & the Oat Stubble was still present. But I swapped my 11" Coil for my 9" hoping to get into it better. (3.5 Hours dodging thunder clouds & rain)

It kinda worked:

Cut Β½ Hammered Henry III Voided Long Cross
:icon_thumright:
Roman Coin Head R, Vict L – VICTOR..AVGGG, PLON
Β½ a Rose Farthing
Poor Jetton
2 & 1/3 Lead Tokens
Medieval Belt Mount

Tiny little gold plated Ring, must have been a babies:dontknow:

Wait until we actually start going. Its Lean Times right now.

UPDATE:

The Roman Coin needs some further research but it looks as though it's an UNLISTED coin, it's not published in RICs!:headbang:

Another hammered! I'm on a silver drought this year and you get hammered silver on almost every hunt. Congrats!

Not quite but we are on 47 hammered this year (76 days hunting), 80 is the target Dad gave us, but I want to make 100.

Amazing finds CRUSADER! Very nice!! Good luck on making 100!!!

I'm very curious on the roman! Big congrats! Also on the silver

That stubble 6 or 8 inches high can be a real pain, I know.

Like another poster I was thinking an average of almost I silver per hunt, OK we stand corrected at more than one silver hammered per 2 hunts, which I still don't think is "bad" ?

I love cut coins, congrats to you man. And I can't wait to find one, I mean they do happen over here, just pretty darn scarce.

Keep on a diggin, and postin, and good luck out there.

Stubble is a pain but Oats is much like Barley & is a bit softer than Wheat, although it was about 7 inches in places, it has some shorter areas at about 2 & lower where the tyre marks are.

The hammered total is both Dad & I, although Dad probably only got 10-15 of them. So it's a good team effort, before the XP, if we had 20 a year it was pretty good.

UPDATE:

Sorry, my wrong on the coin, when Dad looked at it, its a PCON mint not a PLON, therefore a fairly common coin!

I have some stubble ..... but the heat here is 30 Β° C / 40 Β° C. ... best hunting time on the beach ....
Roman coin very good and nice antique ring :icon_thumleft:
