Nkt bad for my first couple of times prospecting

I am fairly new to gold prospecting and have gone out a few times with out my mining buddy and put all my gold together just to see what it looks like, it doesn't look to impressive but it's not to had for a newbie I think

Like it would be nice to have a lot more gold then that but for a few little adventures with out my mining buddy it's not to bad. And I am still learning a lot about prospecting

Dang, I need to go where you go lol.. its hard to find gold in Indiana.

I live in California , it's a long trip for gold lol !!!! And where I live is in about the center of all the great ancient gold town/areas. I live in oroville ca in the 530 area code

Hey 530 - keep in mind there is platinum in the black sands in the Feather river/Oroville area. Not a lot, but some.

I want to go where you ate getting gold from lol how long did it take you to get that and how much does it weigh?

Getting close to a quarter of an ounce. Been prospecting for a year and a half.

So I took out my niece out for little quick adventure to see if she would like going ad we found a little in about 15 minutes before it got dark

Looks like it's time for a sluice box for you. My first was wood that I made myself with ¾ x 1" riffles that I made with my table saw. It was a 1" x 8" x 30" board with 3½" sides, no carpet, just a rough cut board with a few slots cut in the beginning before the first riffle and it caught all kinds of gold. It eventually rotted out but that was quite a few years down the road

I have a sluice box, thanks for the idea on a cheap DIY sluice
