NJLargeCent to the rescue!

NJLargeCent and I were at a BBQ on Saturday. Of course, armed with our MD's. We were told ahead of time that our friend's mom lost her gold and diamond pendant from Jared Jewelers earlier in the summer. Could we find it? If it was indeed back there, we would.

About 20 minutes in: "I got it!" NJLargeCent was the hero of the day.

Will do. I'll post my one measly find tonight. NJLargeCent has a lot more as he decided to ignore his wife, kids, and BBQ guests all day in his quest to find buried treasure. Oh snap! :laughing7:

Truth be told, it was hard for me watching him from the sidelines.

@granthansen, "ignore" is a strong word. I'd like to call it "allowing them time to themselves." Anyway, yes, it was thrilling to help our host find her lost pendant, a gift from her grandchildren that she greatly missed. She had noticed that the pendant was missing from the chain while out in the yard earlier in the year. We searched and I was on the lookout for a VDI in the 40s or 50s that was very shallow. Got one, looked down, and could see something glistening from beneath the high grass. When I brought it over to our host, she was very emotional. Definitely, my most worthwhile find yet.
Below are some pics of the rest of the finds, which included 19 Sunoco old fashioned car tokens, 17 of which were found in a 4'x4' area. Also pictured is what looks to be an old (silver?) crushed cigarette case and some costume jewelry, which I was hoping was real (the perimeter could be silver; there is a mark, but I can't make it out). Not pictured is a bunch of clad, a watch face, and a metal cap for "Dr. Bengue," which it turns out is the precursor to today's Bengay. Anyway, enjoy.
