I went out today to a church built in the 1840s. Hunted the yard for a couple hours and found several old coins. The ground was very hard to dig because of the lack of rain and 100 degree weather for the past two weeks.
1880, 1898, 1898, 1902, 1907 Indians
1917, 1925, 1926 D Wheats
1920 D Merc
Excited to go back when the soil is moist. Hoping for a coin earlier than 1880.

I have no idea. Looks like a cuff button that has an eagle on the front. The depth was 8". Possibly civil war time.

Oh I don't know what's wrong with me. It looks like a General Staff button cuff. Any back mark.
