YAY!!!!!!!!!! Picked up 2 bags of nickels when I dropped off my dimes. Found out last week I no longer get the "plastic bag" nickels, which are ready for the bank's dump, so have been limited on nickels the last few weeks because of that. Not complaining, less work for them and I'm still lucky enough to get bags period, but now grabbing nickels anytime I can. First bag was a skunk. Nothing older than 1946. 2nd bag though... Pretty much a roll each of 1940/41 D&S, roll each worth of BU/AU 1964 P&D and 1970 S.

Then starting finding Silver. 55 War nickels!!!!!!:

16 1942P, 19 1943S, 20 1944P

And a nice little herd of 43 Buffaloes!!!!!!!!!!!

Lookin like my 3rd 1913 Type 1!!!

REALLY lookin forward to picking up cent bags later, hoping this isn't all they had. Sadly, I did poison the well for Dimes, but luckily my bank account says no dimes next week anyway... Dreaming of wheat fields now...

quite the variety! Thats... umm... 43x more buffalos than I've gotten with my detector this summer.

Nice roll score :icon_thumright:

Wow! :blob9: Incredible haul! Nice find on the '23S. Didn't you just find a '23S cent, too? Good times for the Rosco!

Do any of the "no dates" have mint marks? You gotta get some nic-a-date on those guys!

Speaking of "Nic-a-date" nickels, once processed with the acid, are they WORTHLESS and just used as a hole filler in albums? If so, I think I have several hundred (no foolin, honest) put away somewhere.

Depends. Key dates might fetch a decent price, a fraction of even AG value of course.

So you have hundreds that are already Nic-A-Dated or need to be Nic-A-Dated?

Immy: both. I started to find sooo many dateless that I just put them in their own box. But this was way back in the late 60's-70's., haven't touched them since.

I'd be interested in all your dateless ones. Send me a Private Message.

Wow. What a great bag. Congrats!

I just checked my Old spreadsheet, and at that time (when - years ago but have not removed any ) I have a little over 2025 buffs. But I can't say how many have dates vs dateless. Since then, have not added very many to the count.

2025!? Man...I'm almost 1/10th of the way there!
