knew I was in trouble when 32 rolls weighed 198 to 199.3 grams, so they were the last to search. the good news is a 42-S, a '45-P, an '18 Buff and a no date buff. the 32 light rolls produced a total of one hundred and four, yes 104 Canadians. boxes 247 and 248 gave up these winners: 83-P MS,81-P off center die, 83-P greaser missing C and E of cents, 83-P die clash, '39 AU-MS, 2 '44-P's, '43-P and '70-S MS IMG_1153.JPGIMG_1152.JPGIMG_1157.JPGIMG_1156.JPGIMG_1154.JPGIMG_1155.JPG anyone want to buy $50 in Canadian nickels at face value? it would be nice if LOOMIS added a cheap magnet to their hopper rolling machines to eliminate the magnetic Canadian nics, dimes and qtrs. before they get sent to the banks. a short trip from Schenectady NY to the border, they could exchange for real US coins backed by the full faith and credit of the US (Chinese) Treasury.

Buddy? What year are the CAN nicks??

anything pre '85 and post '55 are 9999 fine nickel and command a premium.

You need to do the research for exact dates, but separate the 9999 fine nickle bullion from the lot!

You probably already know but the 1955 - 1981 Canadian nickels are nickel bullion. I usually just spend the post '81 Canadian nickels I get but I've never gotten that many from a box. But I must be missing something. You must have accumulated a lot of Canadian nickels from other boxes otherwise how does 104 Canadian nickels equal $50 fv? :icon_scratch:

Seems like some decent finds from the rest of the box and from your other recent boxes. That grease error is pretty cool and that '39 is a beauty.

HH!

current total of Canadian coins is: 33 rolls post '81 nickels, 1 roll qtrs., none silver, 4 rolls steel dimes. 2 quart jars filled with pre '97 cents (worth 2X face value), 3/4 roll of Georges, 1 1/2 rolls of 55-81 nickels. I plan on selling the qtrs., dimes and nickels at face value with free shipping just to unload them as most retailers refuse to accept them as "real" money. the old coppers weigh 12 pounds. those I may check for errors. Bank of America tells me they put all the Canadian coins they find in the DUMPSTER since they are not exchangeable for US money.
