Nickel and dime

I have a nickel that is different from other 1978 nickels and a dime too. Just wanted to see if anyone knows if they are worth more than face value. Thanks

Well I guess on the dime it's not round

......kind of looks like another coin restamped as a dime. I understand it sometimes occurs in other denomination coins.

The edge of a dime is supposed to be reeded. Its hard to tell for sure by the side view pic but its most likely post mint damage. A coin in a dryer will look like that as the edges take most of the wear.. The nickel also looks damaged. Damage never adds value. The first 2 pics are great BTW.

The nickel looks like it was on gravel and was ran over lots of times.

The dime may have been in a dryer for a while, or someone started spooning it to make a coin ring.
