Went out with bike to the village in ~7 km from home. Field looked quite nice

But, although without snow, it was frozen, at least upper 7-8 cm. It did not stop me, and after 2 hours I've lost all my energy but got some metall.

In more detail coins (no any cleaning yet):

1 heller 1821 - the 4th of this date, but finally I see the reverse side with eagle.

1 pfennig 1851, Bavaria

1 kreuzer 1851, heavy copper coin 1 inch in diameter

5 pfennig 1900, Cu-Ni

5 rentenpfennig 1924 (renten means "pension")

The trick is that many years ago it was not field, rather some public places :)

Sand ,you are on a roll! :o Great finds .I have a 4 day weekend coming up.Hope the weather holds out so I can get something to post. :D

Very nice ;D
I think you European hunters are totally jaded when it comes to old coins! You find a handful of coins from the 1800s and you're like "oh...pretty good day I guess..." :)

Sweet find's there Sand!..and what the hell is a heller?HH!!

Sand, nice finds. I like the button on the far left.

Your photography of the coins is wonderful. How do you do it?

Heller was usually a part of pfennig(german cents) or groschen - 1/2, 1/12 and other in different places. Let's say it is lowest value coin in Germany in 13-19 century; but of course not everywhere.

It is easy if you have a scanner, I scant them using black background and resolution of about 1200dpi. Last step is to combine reverse and averse in ,for example,
photoshop.

Excellent digs Sand ! From the picture it looked like a beautiful day to be out. Your hard work digging was well worth the effort. The pics were great! Best of luck to you and hopefully the ground will be softer next time out. HH!
