004.JPG After having a member dig into history for me ,this token reads

Scott Price, 254 Montgomery Ave., Good For 5¢ in Trade / National Billiard Mfg. Co ..
Scott Price is important to the history of Chattanooga .He owned a larger distillery there in the early 1900s .
If anyone has any more info on this token that would be great or if someone could enter this token into the catalog
for me that would be great also. The back of this token is mostly toast ,the front not to bad .
Thanks for looking !!001.JPG Updated photo after cleaning

Diggin' -- time out a second. I don't find that Chattanooga ever had a Montgomery Ave. And, Scott Price's distillery was, in the 1913 City Directory at least, located at 129 E. Main. We need to get the name and address to match up with the timeframe appropriate to the National Billiard reverse. Keep in mind that Scott Price is a relatively common name - there were 20 by that name aged 21 and over in the 1900 Census.

The token is listed on tokencatalog.com under unknown and with the "image wanted" designation. I'd be happy to post the picture. How do you want credit for taking the pic to be put on the site? Name (pm me) or what?

Oops - I didn't look far enough. The 1908 Chattanooga City Directory shows Scott Price - Saloon - 254 E. Montgomery Av. So I'll eat the words in the previous post. Odd, though, that I couldn't find a Montgomery Avenue in other years. Probably didn't look far enough...

Hey its all good ,I just appreciate you chiming in and offering to update the catalogs listing .

It would be nice to see an image of the reverse. I may be able to figure out which National Billiards Mfg Co reverse was used.. This may help with dating the time of issue.

Richard is correct. May metal detector folks don't realize (quite understandably) that there are many slight differences in the various billiard company reverses.....and those tiny differences can aid token collector specialists like Richard, to establish and share with you a date "frame" of years when the token was issued/made. This is independent of the business name date established via directories etc.
