Too many negative teller stories...so here is a good one.
Called a little bank about a mile from my house. Asked if they had any half dollars, and she said she had 4 rolls. They are a tiny bank...their coin sorter doesn't take anything over a quarter. I've had decent luck there because they are CWR. So I go in and she goes and gets the 4 rolls ($40), and asks me if I'm going to bring them back. I asked her "do you want me to", she looks at me and say sternly "NO, we hate these things". I promise her I won't dump them on her, and she hands over the 4 rolls...I quickly ask if there are any loose ones. She said she had $1.50 and brings them over. She lays them out...and at the same time we both notice a 1969! I tried not to get too excited (LOL)...and she picks it up. I'm thinking, darn it...it's going to happen to me, however, she drops it and carries on! Needless to say, it was the only one out of $41.50, but with the drought in my parts...I'll gladly take it. I also told her since they hate half dollars so much, to call me whenever they have a few. She said okay, I will do that. If she does indeed call me, I'm going to bring them donuts or something one morning.
