There are about a half-dozen Goodwill stores between my house and work. A couple of them are treasure troves, and I can count on finding a goodie or two there every visit; a couple are hit-or-miss; and a couple are real CRAP. Anyhoo, I was driving by one of the total crap ones this past week and thought, "oh, what the heck!" and so I stopped. As per usual, the professional pickers were there, and the prices for most of the stuff were just stupid. But then I spied these two beauties:

Paperweights.webp

The little one was $1.99 and the big one was $2.99 and is marked JOE HAMON on the bottom. (Little one not marked, but I do believe it is also Joe Hamon.) Woot woot!

I think I will list them both together for one money. What do you think?

Nice Find
I would list them separate, probably get more for them that way.

Truly amazing. Never in my wildest dreams would I hope to find something like this at my local GW.

My problem wouldn't just be finding them, it would be recognizing they were something good. I would have passed by an entire box of those without a 2nd look. :laughing7:

I agree with Iron, please enlighten me, What are they? Thanks! Scott

WOW :icon_thumright: Very Nice.... Those are paperweights. I would have snatched those up in a heartbeat. I'm guessing $50 minimum. WTG

Very nice find. I really like the yellow one.

You sure hit on a good prize there...... Money in the bank.....

Good score Beth. I haven't found a high dollar paperweight yet myself, at least not one that wasn't already high priced. lol :icon_thumright:

I've seen quite a few high end paperweights at a local auction place, but the owner's wife collects them. Those of us who are regulars there know not to bid on those weights when they come up.
