nice pebble from beach

found on beach Norfolk England, I dropped it and it broke into several pieces as you may notice, although translucent (if that's the correct word) its not clear and its frosty looking inside, the orange is more red and there's no yellow tinge to it, but lights up in the sun, pity it broke, about 1 1/4inch in length, silica I guess

It is a nice bit. Can you show us the bits separated so we can see how it broke. Fractures can help identify some minerals.
