I got out Saturday with a couple buddies to test a few sites. We ended up at a nice field where a colonial village once stood. My best find of the day was the nice skeleton key (not sure how to date these). I didn't hunt for a good part of the day, got overheated & started cramping bad. Ready for fall! My buddies found a nice assortment of early relics (group shot on table with some of their finds). Any ideas on the brass piece with 3 holes? It was good to get back home, save a little history & spend some time with the family. I'm not sure but I think the key may be a watch winder.

NICE FINDS MAGNUM.

I would think the 3 holed piece is part of some sort of linkage that pivoted on the center hole. Congrats on a productive hunt. I really like the token.

Good Stuff mangum.
A nice montage photo at the end as well.

IMO, the shank is too large for a skeleton key.

Nice relic hunt, congratulations! The skeleton key is a welcome find!

I like those skeleton keys too, don`t know why...no value, but sure seem hard to come by.
Head scratch, every house must have had at least one...right ?
