Up at a bank in another town today. Asked for halves and got $1 of clad, but while I was there a teller was counting out Ikes to a woman who was looking for certain dates. After she left I bought $50 worth. I could have gotten another $20, but when I came back later with more cash that collector had cleaned them out.

No silver, but don't these things sell for a premium?

I sold some clad Ike's that I've found over the past couple of months for a small profit from an ad on Craigslist just last Sunday. I only got $125 for 115 clad Ike's but a small profit is better than nothing. And it was a quick and easy transaction so I was happy.

I'd say you did quite well. A quick 30% profit is very good indeed - esp for CL.

I've got about another 100 or so in clad Ike's - maybe I should try another ad. I don't think I could get $130 though. I was lucky to sell the coins I sold the last time. I had the ad posted for a week and got only one responder - but he responded 3 times so maybe he'd be interested in buying more. :dontknow:

Are you posting it all at once? I'd probably try smaller lots if you haven't already.

It seems like no one where I live is interested in buying clad Ike's - except the one guy I sold to recently. I had 200 or so Ike's a year or two ago and had an ad on CL for at least a few weeks for only $210 or so and I didn't have any luck at all. I was just trying to get rid of them but no one wanted them. I think the only response I got to my ad was someone wishing me good luck. Maybe he was the same guy who dumped them at the bank I got them from.

It seems other people like yourself seem to be able to make a nice profit with them though. Who knows, maybe if I try another ad I'll get several responses and get 20% or more profit too. :dontknow:

I can usually get at least $100 on a road trip. Nobody wants them around here

Sold $35 face value for $45 today. Different guy off Craigslist.

You're doing good. I hope to be selling another 100 or so for a $10 profit this weekend to the same guy I sold to a month or so ago. Small profit but it's better than nothing. :)
