I woke up to a rainy day, had breakfast and turned the computer on. When I logged in to T-Net, I got a nice surprise. Up popped a PM from DP Bob, inviting me to meet him at an old private grove he has permission to hunt. I loaded the car and headed out. After getting the lay of the land from him, I dug a couple wheats, then about 45 min into the hunt, I found a 1952 Rosie. A while later, I was able to dig a 1930 Merc. All told, I came away with 4 wheats, $1.50 in clad, and the two silvers. Bob did alright, too. He'll post later on.

Thanks for the nice surprise and the good hunt, Bob!!! It turned into a nice day!

DAMN,DAMN I QUESS YOU CAN FIND SILVER!

Sweet finds! Were you using your SE or E-trac?

Wow! That was sure nice of Bob to invite you. Congrats on those nice coins Neil.

Actually the first time I met Bob, we were on a group hunt and I was having a terrible day with finds.
It was my second day with the new DFX, sporting a 12" coil in a fairly trashy park. Well to make a long story short, I ended up scoring this gold ring. Bob seemed to be as excited as I was about it and ran back to his car to get his diamond tester. Well the diamonds turned out to be fake, but I knew that his friendship was genuine!

A couple words come to mind about Bob....

Great Guy!
Chick Magnet!
Master Hunter!

Now that all that is said, I sure hope I get a PM in the morning! ;D

That could be taken the wrong way.....

Good hunt Neil!

AWESOME !!!!!!

I'm glad you found something..... and you didn't waste a trip down.... There have been a few times where I've gotten skunked there
but today wasn't one of them and I'm glad we both got some keepers.

I'll post mine in the morning so my pictures will turn out nice....

Congrats !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Always a good time.................

Nice looking silver there Neil!
Glad that spot produced for you guys.

Thanks for the nice comments, everyone!

Hey Jon - you, Etrac007, McEtrac & a few others have inspired me. The SE & the 'Trac have swapped places on the shelf. The fast response of the E win out, and I'll be trying to use it exclusively from now on.

Neil, that's awesome that you could finally get out to Bob's
grove site. . . and find some great silver to boot

Since you'll now be using the "E" exclusively, maybe I'll have a couple of days
to score a few silvers while you're adjusting to the way it performs ;D

With that all said and done I think Mark is really saying that he want's to borrow the SE to try it out ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Oh Nick...I'm definitely an interloper...but that sounds so harsh, don't ya think?

I's definitely reciprocate and *maybe* allow some of youse to detect an Al Capone Indiana getaway. I'll be headin there this weekend for the first time. Well first time to detect anyway.

But upon my IL invasion...I expect a total non-cup challenge display...from yas all. I'll be donning the habit, as usual.

I meant what I said ...

Your "life experience" had to be a memory only one can dream of ...

You have NO idea...I thrive/live for moments like that.
I have pics of Roman Game boards etched into stone that are located underneath the convent I stayed in.
I so need to go back, actually I wanted to take a 3 month sabbatical and volunteer to be a tour guide, My employer saw/sees otherwise. Ahh, someday, someday it'll happen. At least I have a piece of my art hanging in a restaurant in the Old City, a thank-you to Costa, owner of Amigo Emil in the Christian Quarter, for being such a gracious host. See, we (me and Costa) danced on a table top, too much fun was had...so how could I not send him a mosaic cross from plates I collected as I strolled the streets and shops of Jerusalem?!
