Nice hunt in the rain

The heat and humidity around here have been out of control but it was somewhat cool this morning so I went out for a few hours. Nice little variety from an older homesite. The match stick holder still had some wood matches is there. This is also my first shoe buckle with a design. Too bad it's broke. I think that's a keg spigot only because Steve in PA just posted one. Nice group of finds. I like that match safe.

It's pretty common to find both shoe buckles and keg spigots broken. It can be tough to find a nice intact example of either. Same thing goes for pewter spoons. I have only found one complete pewter spoon in over 20 years of hunting colonial sites.
