Got out today at my tried and true CW site that I've been hitting for almost a year now and it still produces. With nearly 500 acres what do you expect? Found several different bullets, washinton arsenal, both dropped and fired bullets, pulled, and a "chewed" Williams cleaner. Got a nice "c" cuff and should clean up nice. Got a nice little '35 buffalo on the way out. Would have liked some cw period silver but oh well! Thanks for looking and HH.

500 acres!!! Lucky dog. Some sweet recoveries there Matt. That "C" button and Buff are great!
Congrats,
MM

matt, thats how you do it. Very good hunt keep it up. With 500 acres you will be there for some time. HH......

Nice finds, I wonder what chewed on that lead?

Love that button...500 acres is " lots" of detecting. Have fun!!!

Now that's weird Matt. I hunted the Williams Cleaner camp this week and dug 7 bullets & a 1935 Buffalo porobably dropped by WW2 maneuvers. I missed the Eagle "C" cuff though-LOL. WTG & HH, Q.

I'm just trying to follow in your footsteps, Oh Great Quindy! LOL HH

Matt, you will find a lot more great relics where you are in your lifetime than I ever will if you continue to hunt. You have a passion for digging that I admire. If you are like me (and I know you are), you (and your hunting friends) will get your butt wet, hot, cold, and tired searching for history that you can hold in your hands. HH, Q.

Oh it's a passion that will never stop. I dream of relics.

A nice group of relics.
I been hunting a Calvary Camp for around 2 years and have yet to dig a C button.
Got a I cuff & a Staff cuff and many GS but the "C" has eluded me.
I still got a 3 cuff buttons to clean off but I believe their the GS type (not complaining)
ill take any CW button I can find.
From the look's of the photo there's likely many more relics to be found .
Good Luck

Thanks guys. Added a short video for some. I know a couple people ask for videos so I figure I'd give ya one. I tend to record when it's more of a leisurely day and I'm not hunting a virgin spot where I want to do non stop digging. lol

Really clean cuff. Very well done! Lovin' it . . .

Now that is some nice real estate to hunt, Love the C cuff!

nice finds, bet you where happy to see the C.

Always better than the general service ones, but any button 150 years old or more that's still intact is welcomed.

I HEARD THAT....

I think it was both. Small campsite and small skirmish. Doesn't show up on any civil war maps, but camps and skirmishes were all over Virginia and west Virginia.
