revisit to a school that paid nicely last year. 1st target is a 49-50 so I assume a Jeff,,instead I spot a shiny heart. give it a tug and a dainty 8" bracelet shows. the "S" clip is marked but at 20X can't read it, looks like silver under gold, weighs 3.1 grams. acid will tell. add the costume heart, a crap watch, fake ring and 3 bucks in clad___at least me and the ATP got some exercise:laughing7::laughing7: IMG_2320.JPGIMG_2321.JPGIMG_2322.JPGIMG_2323.JPG

great link, Skippy. in my rush for glory I forgot the first rule of jewelry--magnet test. the #^%=&*- ;@!">* STICKS. it gets listed as costume for a few bucks. I will now go sulk in a corner:-(((
Hey, Port ewen ace,

Nice find! Hopefully, it'll turn out gold. You might try a coupld of thses if you don't have an acid test available... At the very least, the Silver will streak with the makup...(if you uncover the plating).

This just made me laugh

Too bad it's not gold, but still a good find,

Costume jewelry or not, I think of it as a great find. With my luck I would have cut right through that thing and turned one bracelet into 2 piece of junk.
