Hello treasurenet, first off thanks to all those who have served in the military :icon_thumright: and those currently serving.

So had a nice day out today at one of my favorite spots, was a bit chilly...but eh if the ground is still dig-able can't complain. Was a pretty good day, my brother caught a nice rainbow trout to start off the day. Then found yet another old home site in some of my favorite woods. Sadly found the site rather late in the day, but managed to pull out my first Canadian silver coin....a nice 1870 dime! I think it even has a die chip on the reverse, but I'm a bit rusty on coin errors.

Oh and to finish off the day got an amazing view of a bald eagle hunting, felt very patriotic. :hello2:
Thanks for reading, hope you all the best of luck on your hunts.

LOL...I hope that's not the rainbow your brother caught...because that's a brown. Nice dime, for sure.

That is a Brown Trout. Just say in. Nice finds and fish!!

Whoops, thanks for the correct ID on the trout :).

Nice catch...on the dime. Victorian Silver is hard to come by, as a canadian, and for comparrison, I've got more spanish silver than canadian vickies. Although that's part of the detecting game, no rhyme, reason or guessing what your going to get next.

Nice find!

Not sure I'd want a trout I caught dirt fishing. ;) LOL

Nice prizes ! The eagle was probably eyeing your bother's trout! I've heard of double duty but boy! When you can get a trout and a silver dime with a detector! What brand are you using!!!? Lol!
