Nice find today....Gun Barrel??????????

found this today with my Ace250, Looks like an old Gun barrel. Looks like it may be made of brass but I didnt think Brass oxidized. its about 4" long and octagonal, all the edges definatly have a brass tint to them....not sure what to make of it

yes, gun barrel from a boot pistol similar to the ones about half way down this page..... Civil War Antiques (Dave Taylor's) April Webcatalog

I just noticed what looks like a bullet lodged in the end of the barrel.

Now that is hardcore history. Coins are great but do not forget how valuable that item was when it was lost and the fact it really has some age on it. That is a great find in my book.
