I have one of those sitting on my desk! I can find them whenever I want near my mother's house. I prefer silver, but think about it; when you hold one of these, you're holding something way older. Too bad there isn't a market for them (or is there?)

Fossis would know, maybe he'll pipe up here. He said you can sell them, but the market is harder.

What state is your mother's house in?
 

Oh OK, thanks. These ferns are supposed to be from the "Pennsylvanian period" anyway. ;D
 

Very nice lookin piece! Plant fossils are somewhat hard to find in my normal collecting spots. I did find some fossilized wood yesterday though, which I was kind of excited about.
 

Hey Scotto, nice find, in answer to (do they have any value?) I have traded them for some nice rocks & minerals at Rock swaps, & to Rock shops also.
It seems the petrified wood sells slower than the plant ferns (smaller item), easier to carry. Later, Fossis..................
