Nice end of skunk streak

Hi all. Well as some of you may know, my boxes of halves have been sucking. I have for the most part been getting two per week since last July. My best two boxes have been one 90% and two 40%. That has happened twice. I've gotten a few boxes with a lone 40% but skunks have been the rule and I did far better with cwr when I could find them. So last week I couldn't pick up anything till Thursday because of working overtime. So my plan was to get the halves first, them dump so I could get my dimes nickels and cents, which I normally pick up Tuesday. I started the halves fully expecting to find nothing. So I was very pleasantly surprised to find a dirty edge 40% in my third roll. Finished that box, finding one more 40% and two 90%. My best box ever. It left me feeling like I had a chance with the second box as well. I wasn't disappointed. 4 90% and 11 40% including my first Ben from a box and my first silver coin with a hole. Immediately I bumped my order to 3 boxes/week. Hope my luck continues. HH to all.

Good stuff! I scored my first Franklin this weekend as well. Got 2 boxes, one skunk, the other gave up a 1952 Franklin, a 64 and a 67.

Congrats on breaking the skunk streak Mercury! Nice, nice boxes. I've been a bit skunky lately with my halves, which makes it even harder considering the volume I've been doing (12 boxes last week, normally 9 boxes weekly).

Thanks info. Well I had been getting so many skunks I was actually thinking of getting quarters instead of one of the boxes of halves. Glad I didn't. Really I need to find a new source. If I can find another bank to order ill probably add two more boxes.

What about branching out? If you know your on a bank that produces silver, go to other branches and order as well... they dont all come in on the same day, even if the other branch is 10 minutes away... atleast thats how it is for me... I have 2 banks 5-10 min apart, but one gets orders 2 days before the other...

Congrats on a great box! You definitely paid your dues! Nice Ben - '53? The '53S is the rarest Ben w/ FBLs.

You'll get a walker if you keep at it. I remember my first - It was a partial date 1944 (only 44 readable ). I knew it was a Walker (or possibly a Barber) when I saw the edge - it was really worn! It was really exciting! That was 41 Walkers ago - I've since found many more in boxes + 1 solid roll.
