Tenderfoot
Went to a park today that I've been itching to hunt. When I got there I saw a bunch of plugs that were recently dug. While somewhat disappointed, I chose to detect anyway. Was there for a couple hours and I was surprised by the amount of coins and targets that the other guy missed. I'm sure that this area has been detected a lot, but it was interesting to see that I was pulling out dimes, pennies and quarters sometimes inches from the other guy/gals plugs. Just wonder how much I missed...
I'm still very new to metal detecting, but this was one of my best days. Found a wheat penny, a Cub Scouts Bobcat pin, a ring, and a handful of coins from the early 60's on up. As a bonus, I was able to watch a doe and fawn meander through the park.
