It looks like a piece of a geode.
Hard to identify 100% just by pictures.
The hard white material is most likely chalcedony. Same chemical composition (SIO2) as quartz, just cooled of too fast to form crystals. It should have the same hardness as the quartz.

Or it could just be quartz that didn't have enough space to form crystals. :coffee2:
