Today I hit the old farmhouse with the XLT on the property I am building a new house. I spent about a half an hour and got the 1918 wheat penny in nice shape lots of detail, and a real nice button the back is 100% with loop and I can read the word superior. 1" dia. age is not known if someone could help me out...

Anyway my pinpointer was on the fritz from the weekend and made locating in the dark topsoil too hard so I ran down to see John Mc at The Adventure Lodge www.theadventurelodge.com where I got the XLT and he hooked me up with a new pinpointer and back I went. I found the old key that is from Wiselock Concentric Tube-Lock Padlock. also good detail, what I think is a small button, Brass barrel spigot, and other misc. watzits...had fun and i am going back soon lots more to hunt....
Thanks for looking TnT.......HH...

Nice find's tnt...if there's an 18' penny there's gotta be an 18' silver ....Good luck and HH!!

hey civilman1

I was thinking the same thing....funny thing is the research so far on the button suggests it 1918...they were about 12" appart when found....weird hu...

The item about in the middle of the pic which resembles a pocket knife is a razor blade dispenser. I have found one like that but with writing still ledgible, HH Art...

Nice button. Sounds like a great site.
The whites pinpointers are not very durable or maybe i'm way too hard on them, but they help me a lot.

I think the button is a WWI. I have 2 that are almost Identical. Great seal coat button is what it is called if I remember right. Great find. Good luck. :)
