Gave the old site i hunted yesterday another quick hit on my way by during work. This time i found a shoe buckle, knee buckle and a nice “board of ordnance” british military button. The button may be 1812 or earlier i think. There was no gilt left but its still in nice shape. The shoe buckle was rough but the knee buckle was in such great shape i was thinking it was tarnished silver at first. Thanks for looking! [emoji2][emoji106]

all very nice but really love that button, very cool and very high in the cool factor! congrats

It's a British enlisted man's artillery button. Some say they were used at the end of the Rev War, some just after it. By the early 1800's they had backmarks. Nice find for sure.

Good info. When i first dug it i instantly thought artillery but when i searched it up the ordnance kept coming up with matching pictures. Im happy either way! [emoji16]
