hey ncpaul...nice point...i'm new to this too...i'm in siler city area and find lots of "stuff" in my backyard...i have a couple of posts(last one 2/21 i think if you want see mine)...where in durham did you find it?
 

Savannah River points can be easily mistaken for Morrow Mt, Stanley, and Kirk stemmed. They are typically made of lower grade materials like quartzite, felsite, argalite, etc.
Your point has the classic Morrow Mt. base. The blade width is just more narrow than the typical example. I'd vote Morrow Mt because of the base, chert material, and flaking, jmo

I would lean more towards Morrow mtn also. Base is kinda wrong for a little bear. Its a killer point with quiet the reputation. Nice find sir.

Typical Morrow Mt type 2. I have seen one exactly the same, long point from Randolph Co. NC.
