Hello everyone. I went back to a colonial era spot today, made some good finds & saved some history. I was REALLY hoping for some sort of coin seeing as how this field has produced around 20 buttons so far & a few buckles but it was not to be. I did find a 1985 Roosevelt, I was not happy to find, gave a great signal in the open field. I found a total of 8 buttons today, 2 are marked (all others are completely plain). I will hit this with some aluminum jelly to see if I can read what it says. I really do like finding flat buttons, makes you wonder who was wearing them when they were lost over 200 years ago. I also found some small lead & an iron rein guide. The best find if the day was the nice (almost whole) arrowhead. I believe it's a Morrow Mountain which would make it 5-7000 years old! It was a beautiful day here in NC! Thanks for looking, Happy Easter & HH!

Thanks! The main key to finding them (almost like searching for homesites) is high ground near a water source.

Getting a nice button collection Josh. They will look great on the finds board.

love that arrowhead, hoping to find one someday.
