I wasn't going to post this, but my two kids just make me very proud. So look out everyone, "they" say the next generation is better and smarter.

These two have already dug large cents, barber halfs, and even Spanish silver. Today's spot was a bit unfortunate since the property was a side hall colonial, but we had fun.

Best finds were a 1911 Wheaties and a 1917 Mercury dime.

Cheers, and remember to take those little ones.

Great post man!, I remember taking my then 3 and 10 yr old boys to a boat launch 6 yrs ago, we managed about 15 wheats, and i remember a silver washington and roosie too. Good times!

Smiles say it all.

Nice post Scrappy! Moments like that are better than any find. Nothing better than a great memory with your kids. Now that mine are grown, I cherish those memories.

Now if you can gear them up and get them out in the Brambles Steve. Looks like ya'll had a great time, hope they get bit by the detecting bug. Now that was some quality time and they pulled some keepers.

Digging with your kids awesome doesn't get any better enjoy it they grow faster them you can realize it happened

Looks like an awesome day! and the rest of us are in trouble if they*dig anything like you! They are already killing me on my bucket list if they got some spanish silver....

You are lucky man in more ways than one!

Nice post Steve. My kids really like sifting, fun to see their eyes light up....even for a square nail.

I'm tryin' to convince a few of my bank tellers to join the hunt---

if they wear sumthin' "light & comfy":wink::love4:

hey that works on the grand kids too, got about five of them helping me or the bigger ones now using their own detectors

Congrats, Scrappy. I vividly recall the first time I took my younger daughter out. We went to my major honey hole, a 40's-50's grade school with a 100+ year old church next door. She got bored quickly with the clad I was finding...Just trying to give her a chance to dig the easy ones. Then we moved to the Silver Hill (as my partner and I named it) and the first target turned out to be a silver quarter spill. The look on her face was priceless as she began pulling out shiny coins! Hook, line & sinker! ๐Ÿ˜‚ She begged me to get a machine of her own and to this day, 35+ years later, still comes out occasionally to be Daddy's Digger. ๐Ÿ˜

Those are great stories guys. Ugre yours is something I hope for some day.

Chips off the old block!....
I see myself "liking" their finds when they become members themselves....

No doubt...they are learning from the best!:notworthy:

Good times, they'll remember these days and the quality time spent with dad!
