Welcome fellow New Yorker!

Nice old balls you've dug, more to come I'm sure. Congrats!

Johnny, those bullets are fantastic. Looks like you've just chipped the tip of the iceburg on those 75 acres.

Maybe you'll get lucky and find a nice cache of weapons, silver or gold. Good luck on your return trip and thanks for sharing the story!

Happy Hunting / Night Stalker

Welcome! And, Wow!

You know what? You would never have to try to find a place to hunt, ever again. You can write your whole story on that 75 acres alone. You really need to grid as you go, so you can cover it as good as you can.

How deep were the finds? Do they make bigger coils for the 250, or would that matter? Have you researched troop movements? Have you this? Have you that? Sorry, but this is fun!

Good luck to you on your dream spot! Heck, it's "our" dream spot also! So, go out there and make "our" dream come true!

Upstate NY, Hu? I am in Upstate NY, Watkins Glen area. Some great stories of lost treasure along the Hudson River. I would love to go on a Hunt maybe sometime since we are in the same area.

Keep @ it and HH!!

Welcome to TNet JQ!! Great finds, congrats!
Looking forward to seeing many more of your finds.

Smiles!

Nice balls Johnny...I am only just down the road from you...I have hunted all around the Saratoga battle field area too. I have some decent knowledge of this area so if i can be of assistance let me know. I am in Albany.

JQ - Nice finds. Sure you'll find more in that large of an area

thanks for the welcomes everyone,
I'll try and keep up with posts. I'm going to try and spend next 2 days in the ravine on this property before the black flies make their spring debut. I have researched this whole area for the past 2 years and have stumbled upon a copy of a soldiers daily journal spanning 8 months in brit regimnt. I'll try and post a few pics of the land, it almost transports you back in time when you stand in these fields. very eerie!
as far as depths, 1 was found on surface in corn field and the others not more than 2 inches deep.

Hey fellow New Yorker,
I'm in Wilton, Waiting for my detector to come so I can start hunting for relic's too. Best of luck. It's a great area

Also, nice looking smooth balls
