Go to your Public Library & ask them to get you the Book ;

also, there are County & Township History Books.
Check everyone out for your area.

York should be Good for Civil War Relics Also, as the Confederet army came up that far.
There were also Brestworks put up at Camp Hill along the River, to Protect Harrisburg.
? No Battle there, But the Union army did Camp there to Protect HBG. Durring the Civil War.

? Saturday, May 14th. there is the 'Central PA Metal Detecting Club, Memorial Open Hunt, (Rain or Shine) at West Pennsboro Twp. Fire Company' BE THERE, Meet others, Ask Questions. it's free to attend & meet people. but to hunt there you would need to pay.

? You don't say exactly which side of the River you Live.
