Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to relay another story of how easy it is to enjoy the wonderful hobby of metal detecting. The Lumber Yard / Hardware Store that I work for became an authorized White's Dealer about a month ago. The first person to buy a detector from us and his wife found a 1835 half dime today on a farm outside of paris, Tn. today!!!! This is the 2nd time out for them together and they were still trying to understand all of the sounds and VDI info on the screen. They are both really nice follks and the farm that they were hunting was part of his wife's family farm that dated back to the 1800's. Keep those coils to the ground out there and good luck!!

Half-dimes were minted 1794 - 1873. It must be an *18*35, and if so, it's a hell of a find for someone new to this great hobby!

Depending on condition, it could be worth $35 (G-4) to $85 (VF-20).
If it's in better condition than VF, then I'm even more impressed--and envious.

WTG!
