Hi all,
Recently joined the site and looking forward learning from some very seasoned hunters about the hobby. Can't wait to get out for a hunt in my yard this Saturday, as it is going to be unseasonably mild in Pittsburgh, Pa where I live. The hobby always interested me. I did manage to find a engagement ring that my further daughter in law lost in her yard while playing frisbee. The joy it brought back to her was priceless.
The other times I hunted, I found a dog medal and of course some trash. I have had interest in collecting some older vintage detectors and actually build a few including winding my own coils. Also I like the research aspect of the hobby.
Recently purchased a Equinox 800 and a Garrett carrot AT pin-pointer.
I plan on going to a metal detecting club meeting to see what it's all about next Thursday. From what I see on their website, I'm sure I will want to join the club.
Thanks for letting me Share!
