Hi gang! I am Cheryl from Dallas, GA. Interested in getting into metal detecting. Hubby (ejimbo4) is currently hooked on gold panning. I don't have the patience for that. Maybe my A.D.D. is more severe than his. LOL. Any way, I figure while he is panning, I can be metal detecting. We live in the Dahlonega gold belt and are within a mile from Pickett's Mill Battlefield. There is alot of civil war battle sites in this area so I am sure if I can get a good starter detector and some helpful hints, I can find some interesting stuff, maybe even some lunch money.
