Newbie to Mechanical Piggy Banks

I recently came across a Irish Paddy the leprechaun and pig mechanical bank and have no idea if it's a replica or original or has any value to it at all I do know it's very heavy and looks as if someone may have lost the coin hole cover and used another also the Piggy leg does not work

If original, mechanical banks always command pretty high prices. It's not uncommon to lose the "hole cover" on these banks. Your is looking a little rough around the edges. You might want to look to getting it restored. They are heavy, because usually they are made out of cast iron.
